1.Who we are
Diksha Coaching Classes ("DCC", "we", "us") is a coaching institute located at Manjari Road, Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa, Pune 411036, Maharashtra, India. We provide classroom and online coaching for students from LKG to Std 12 (Science & Commerce), including MHT-CET and board exam preparation.
This policy applies to our website dcconline.in, our online student & parent portal, and the DCC Student App for Android (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
2.Information we collect
Account & identity information
- Student details: full name, class/standard, roll number, enrollment date, and login credentials. Student accounts are created by DCC at the time of admission.
- Contact details: email address and mobile number of the student and/or parent or guardian.
- Profile photo (optional): a photo the student or parent chooses to upload from the device camera or gallery. Uploading a photo is entirely optional.
Academic & institutional records
- Attendance records, including RFID tap-in/tap-out times and monthly attendance summaries.
- Test results, marks, ranks, and performance analytics.
- Fee records, including amounts paid, payment method, receipt numbers, and installment details. We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs, or bank credentials through the Services.
- Learning activity, such as which lectures, test papers, or practice materials are accessed.
Enquiry information
- If you send an enquiry through our website form, the details you enter (name, mobile number, class, goal, message) are used to open a WhatsApp conversation with our team from your own device.
Technical information
- Basic technical data needed to operate the Services, such as device type and standard server logs (e.g., IP address, date and time of requests). We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data to advertisers.
3.How we use your information
- To operate student and parent accounts and verify identity at login.
- To display academic information — attendance, test results, ranks, lectures, practice material, and fee status — to the student and their parents/guardians.
- To send important academic communications, such as attendance alerts, notices, test schedules, and fee reminders.
- To maintain institutional records required for running the coaching institute.
- To improve our teaching, materials, and the Services.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we never sell personal information.
4.App permissions
The DCC Student App may request the following device permissions:
- Internet access — required to load your academic data from our servers.
- Camera — only if you choose to take a new profile photo. Never accessed otherwise.
- Photos / media — only if you choose to select a profile photo from your gallery, or to download study materials such as test papers and practice PDFs.
You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings at any time; the app remains usable, except for the specific feature that needs the permission.
6.Children's privacy
Most of our students are minors. We treat their information with special care:
- Student accounts are created by DCC as part of the admission process, with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
- We collect only the information needed to provide coaching services — we do not ask children for unnecessary personal details.
- Parents and guardians may review their child's information, request corrections, or request deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 12).
7.Data storage & security
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Records are stored on secured servers with access restricted to authorised DCC staff.
- We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices and we review our security measures regularly.
8.Data retention & deletion
- Student records are retained while the student is enrolled at DCC and for a reasonable period afterwards for institutional, academic, and legal record-keeping.
- Profile photos can be removed by the student at any time from the app's My Profile section.
- You may request deletion of an account and associated personal data by contacting us (Section 12). We will delete or anonymise the data, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, fee and receipt records) by law.
9.Your rights & choices
- Access & correction: students can view and update their name, mobile number, and password in the app; other corrections can be requested at the DCC office.
- Photo choice: uploading a profile photo is optional and it can be removed at any time.
- Deletion: you can request account and data deletion as described in Section 8.
- Questions & complaints: you can raise any privacy concern with us using the contact details below, and we will respond promptly.
10.Third-party services
- YouTube: video lectures in the app are streamed via YouTube. When you play a lecture, YouTube (Google) may collect data as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- WhatsApp: the enquiry form on our website opens WhatsApp on your own device; any conversation there is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
- Hosting: our Services run on third-party web hosting infrastructure that stores data on our behalf under standard data-processing safeguards.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services linked from our Services.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or the portal. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
